Prototype Phase

I was sadly sick for most of last week and so I wasn’t heavily involved in the early process of coming up with an idea. We met this Monday and that was when I was fully exposed to the idea the group had committed to. Having missed so much of the process I felt a little out of it the first meeting as I had to get acquainted with the idea. My group quickly caught me up and it wasn’t like the possibility of an app as the solution hadn’t crossed my mind. I was really impressed with Rachel’s progress with already designing our app on PP and thought we were going in a good direction.

Personally, I loved the pitch feedback progress. It was great to get our idea out there and receive feedback from fresh eyes. I was really glad that it wasn’t all like ‘Oh that sounds great’ and nothing else. The group we partnered did like our idea and pointed out things they thought we did well, but they also pointed out some problems we have to address. Things like accountability on the app, how it might be self-selecting to those already interested in sustainability, etc. All comments that prompted further conversation in our group. Right now, our team isn’t super satisfied with our idea and how it does seem like a weak way it addresses the sustainability problem. We couldn’t really do anything too drastic to completely address concerns brought upon by conversations Tuesday, but we are doing what we can with it, and we did take the feedback to heart and address things as best we could.  I can’t wait to hear more feedback Thursday and Friday and hopefully turn our prototype into something we can fully be proud of.
